The week before Moheny's Move to JAARS

Our boys loved climbing the boxes....it was like a giant play ground inside!  Who needs toys!
Boxes and more boxes everywhere on the first floor...to make the loading of the truck much easier on everyone!

You never know how much you have until you have to pack it all up....we rejoice that the packing was done...now ready for the truck.
Oh dear friends...we are happy to report and update you on these past few weeks of our lives.  God has been stretching us so much in our faith journey.  We know we are in enemy territory doing what God wants us to do...but it's no easy task.  There is great JOY in the Journey even when things don't go as planned.  In the mist of packing up our home we were also dealing with some issues with the selling of our house.  Our buyer wanted to have an inspection done on our sewer system.  We had some issues about 4-5 years ago with roots clogging up our system and were told to do a root killer treatment every spring and fall.  We had written this in our sellers disclosure so the buyer was aware of it.  A few weeks ago he had an inspection done, but they couldn't get the camera down into the drain and gave an ridiculous estimate without really knowing for sure if there was any root damage.  We got another company out for another opinion and they suggested we continue to do what we've been doing or cut down the tree and replace the line.  We spoke with our buyer..and he shared that he really wants to buy our home, but if there is any structural damage to the pipe he would walk away.

We've had people praying for this huge ordeal...today (July 21) Kline's were out to do an inspection and found NO structural damage to pipeline.  We praise God there is no damage to the drain, and as of now (July 21st) waiting on our buyer to sign the paper work.
In the mist of it all, we've not been discouraged, we know that God will work out His plan in His Perfect time and way.  Sometimes we wish it could be a little bit more smooth, but it's just not His way!   We are learning to count it all JOY...when we face many trails of many kinds.

Moving Day (July 20th)
The night before the Truck arrived so much was going on.  We had to have both our vehicles check for Air Conditioning problems.  The jeep was fixed with minor issues, but our Van is a whole other story.  But before we go into the story...we would like to share some pictures with you of the Day Missionary Transport came to load us up for JAARS.
The truck arrived at 8 a.m. to begin loading

Began the morning as a team in Prayer

Cody was so excited to help with carrying things to the Big TRUCK!

Our two little movers!

It was one of the hottest Days of Summer...Inside the truck was about 110 degree's!  We had a fan running for those who were packing it tight!  Blessing their Hearts!

God Raised up a GREAT team to load the truck that day!

Wow we do have a garage...Jim actually drove the jeep in for a few minutes just because he could.

The Ritchey Boys.....having some fun in the mist of the HARD WORK!

Thank you Jake and Cody for taking your entire day and spending it with us...packing us up to go to JAARS!

Taking a little break with Cody Ritchey!

It's amazing how much stuff you can put into a Semi Truck thats 48 feet long!

Almost ready to drive the Jeep in Last!

The Ramp coming off the truck was fun for the boys!

We began loading the truck around 8 a.m. that morning.....it was a very HOT DAY and a very long process packing the truck like a jigsaw puzzle.  We praise the Lord for the team of individuals who came to help us load our stuff for our move to JAARS.  Everyone worked so well together.......and was a GREAT TEAM!
We finished up with the last item to go on the truck and that was our jeep.

The truck departed for N.C. around 7:30 p.m. only to have to stop around 9:00 to rest, and the Truck made the rest of the trip to N.C. on Thursday, July  21st.  It's arrived safely and waiting for us to unload.

In the mist of the move....we were also experiencing some trouble with our AC unit in our van.   Around 4:00 the day we were moving out Heidi had to leave the house to pick up the van that was at the garage to be worked on.  When she went to pick it up it still was blowing HOT AIR......we took it back to the garage and they told us they wouldn't have time this week to fix it, but thought it would need a new compressor.  They said they could do it next week.  No good with our plan to leave on Sat. with the Merkeys.
Another opportunity to see God Shine....we talked with our friends the Crawford's who we are stayed with until we depart for JAARS.  They made arrangement to have their mechanic take a look at it the morning of July 21st.  We got a call that it was ready for pick up...when Jim and I went to pick it up...it was still blowing HOT AIR.  OH MY!  The mechanic reimbursed our funds for everything and told us to take it to the Honda Dealership.....it made for a long afternoon for us both.  I began praying OUT LOUD in our travel to the garage...Lord "We TRUST You to help everything to come together so we can leave for JAARS in YOUR TIME"!  Not sure what your up too...but we are going to TRUST you...YOUR WAYS ARE FAR GREATER THAN OUR OWN!"
The next morning (Friday), we got a call from our friends the Merkey's who we'll be serving with at JAARS, that Kyle's grandmother passed away and they wouldn't be able to leave with us Saturday to JAARS.  We at that point weren't even sure if we would be leaving on Saturday either because of the van was still at the garage getting fixed.  Another opportunity to see GOD SHINE!  We left the Crawford's that morning with a heavy heart, but knowing full well that God will work everything out.  We at this point knew we needed to be down at JAARS by Monday to unload the truck so that was making us a little nervous.  Once we arrived at the house to clean...the phone rang and we were told the Honda wouldn't be ready possibly until Monday because they needed to order a part....OH MY...while Jim was on the phone with the Honda dealership....Missionary Transport had called us and left a message that we wouldn't have to unload the truck Monday, because they were able to get another trailer for a trip to NY. What a relief and blessing.  The next blessing came when they told us a storage container will come available on August 1st...Just for us!  We stood there with tears in our eyes at God's faithfulness and how He's working out all the details ahead of us.  It was like he was saying to us...."Trust ME"  Here are a few more pictures of our cleaning day at 69 Petersburg Rd.....and us saying good-bye to some very precious friends.
The Inskeep Family came over to say "See ya Later" We'll miss you all very much!

Friends Forever

When we all walked into the house....Cody began to cry "Where is all our stuff"!  It was in that moment we had a good cry together! (mommy and son)  The boys spent quite a bit of their day watching Thomas, while we did the final cleaning of the house.
Heidi cleaning this kitchen floor one last time!
Cody helping with vacuuming the last room!

Our last picnic lunch on Petersburg Rd!

Our Farewell gathering at GRACE

Hello everyone!  We just wanted to take a few minutes to update you all on how things are going in preparing everything for our move to JAARS.  It's been quite the week of packing and saying our farewell to many dear friends and our precious family.  On Sunday, July 10th we gathered with our church family and many dear friends for a Farewell service.  In the morning, the leadership counsel, missions committee, and our Prayer Advisory Committee surrounded us in prayer of commitment to the Lord as we leave for our assignment at JAARS.  We had a wonderful evening of fellowship and were so encouraged by the message of HIS FAITHFULNESS over and over again in our lives.
We want to Thank all of those who came out that evening to celebrate with us HIS FAITHFULNESS and HIS WORK!  We praise God for each and everyone of you and the impact you've made in our lives over the years through our marriage, parenting, and ministry.  What a huge blessings to know that we have so many people who love our family and are surrounding us in prayer in these days of a huge move in our lives.  What an exciting time for us as we begin this next chapter in our lives.
Sunday July 10th in the morning service the leadership counsel committed us in Prayer with the laying on of Hands.

Jim and I shared our personal testimony in God's calling in our lives

Kyle Merkey shared special memories of God's faithfulness and welcomed us to the JAARS family.

Aaron Hoffman shared on Behalf of Wycliffe and the work of Bible Translation

Cody sat with his Meme and pappy during the service....standing to Worship Jesus!

Heidi helping in leading in worship.....Singing unto the Lord with all her heart!

What a wonderful evening of worship and praise as we Stand in Awe of You Jesus and your amazing work in our lives.  We will not to soon forget you Grace Baptist Church family.  You have stood by us and we treasure YOU!  We appreciate the prayer and financial support that has come from the people of GRACE.   Blessings to you all!
